Shaun Teemer, aged 24 of Long Beach, pleaded guilty to multiple charges for two different incidents on Wednesday, June 14, according to the Nassau County District Attorney.
In a statement, District Attorney Anne T. Donnelly called Teemer “an extraordinarily violent defendant who has consistently broken the law.”

According to the DA’s Office, in the early hours of March 29, 2022, police responded to 425 East Broadway in Long Beach on the report of shots fired.
At approximately 2:24 a.m., they discovered a sedan with the door and truck open, idling in the street, as well as 37-year-old Humberto Manuel Francis-Hernandez, who had suffered gunshot wounds to the head and arm.
Francis-Hernandez was taken to the hospital in serious condition for surgery, but a few days later succumbed to his injuries.
Police discovered after an investigation that Francis-Hernandez was an Uber driver in Long Beach picking up a rider. Through cell phone and other records, Teemer was identified as the shooter and was arrested in June 2022.
In a second prosecution, Teemer was accused of seriously injuring a woman in a hit-and-run in September 2021.
He was driving a rented 2020 Jeep Compass on East Park Avenue at the intersection of Pacific Avenue when he allegedly struck a 73-year-old woman crossing the street with his passenger side mirror.
Teemer purportedly did not stop the vehicle after the incident, and later returned the car to ask for a different one, claiming the side mirror was damaged by a basketball.
Meanwhile, the woman suffered a large laceration to the head and a compound fracture to her leg. She required surgery.
For both cases, Teemer pleaded guilty to the following:
- Second-degree murder
- Second-degree criminal possession of a weapon
- Tampering with physical evidence
- Leaving the scene of an incident without reporting as a felony
He is due back in court on Wednesday, August 2, where he is expected to receive a sentence of 20 years to life in prison.
